Caster Arm Spacing
To measure caster arm spacing measure
Mowers with caster arm spacing of 25″-35″ require a 36″ bar mount (10682)
Mowers with caster are spacing of 35″-46.5″ require a 48″ bar mount (10631)
Caster Arm depth
Measuring from the end of the caster arm to the front of the mower, perpendicular to the front of the mower, a minimum of 2.5″ are required to accommodate the width of the bar.
Spacer Kits
Some mowers have gussets on the caster arms, in those cases we have a spacer kit to allow the Universal Mount to be usable with these models. Refer to the Mount Matrix to see if your vehicle requires the spacer kit. Most commonly needed on Scag mowers.
Hitch Receiver Fitment Guide
9″ Drop or Straight
When measuring to determine what receiver is needed for your vehicle, measure from the ground to the bottom of the receiver.
If the height is between 5.5″ and 13″, the 2″ receiver (10441) is required.
If the height is between 14.5″ and 22″, the 9″ drop receiver (10778) is required.
Tongue Weight
A minimum of 90 lbs tongue weight capacity is required for the UB-7, while a minimum of 180lbs tongue weight capacity is required for the UB-14.
Adjustment
Once mounted, if the blower nozzle is too high or too low, there is an adjustment on the back of the blower housing, above the nozzle to adjust the height up to 2″. If a larger adjustment is needed, the female mount on the blower can be adjusted in 1.5″ increments for a range of 4.5″.
Z-Turn Universal Mount
For determining what receiver mount is required for a universal mount, measure from the ground to the top of the caster arm. Then add 2″.
If the height is between 5.5″ and 13″, the 2″ receiver (10441) is required.
If the height is between 14.5″ and 22″, the 9″ drop receiver (10778) is required.
